Bible Thursday 2/13: Priorities

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. Verse 2 KJV, how has God redeemed me from the hand of the enemy? To whom shall I tell of it today?

Jeremiah 10:1-25. Verse 21 KJV, pastors who lapse. What are some ways God’s appointed shepherds may fail in their duty to the flock? How shall I pray for my pastor today?

Romans 4:13-25. Verses 17, 19, and 24, our God defeats death. How am I therefore able to take a completely different approach to this day?

Matthew 12:1-8. If Jesus, “one greater than the temple,” hung out at my church for a week, would he find us putting religious routine ahead of Christlike love? Action point?
