Bible Monday 4/27: How Can We Sing?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 137:1-9. Verse 4, have I been letting my feelings about the pandemic determine my thoughts of God? How will today be different if I let my thoughts of God determine my feelings about the pandemic?

Ezekiel 17:1-24. Verse 24, God’s sovereignty over persons, events, and nations. Beyond merely a return to “normal,” what shall I pray God does through this crisis to change me, my church, and our country?

I Corinthians 15:1-11. What does the risen Christ have to do with the Covid emergency? What’s going on when I lose focus on this, as often happens? What is God’s remedy?

John 5:1-15. Verse 7, related question, what complaints or excuses have I been distracted with, diverting my attention from Jesus and what he wants to do for me? Action point for today?
