Bible Saturday 4/18: Crisis or Opportunity?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 116:1-19. Verse 15, with mortality confronting us all amid the pandemic, who needs my help in mourning a death or facing down death? How can Scripture strengthen me to do this?

Ezekiel 8:1-18. Verse 12 KJV, dark chambers of imagery. How does Satan seek influence through my imagination, wishes, covetousness, mental idleness? How can I combat this through Christ?

John 21:15-25. Jesus’ probing questions to Peter. Is the command to feed his sheep for all Christ’s followers, or just for pastors? If for all, how can I start doing more of this?

Matthew 28:16-20. The Great Commission, adding sheep, growing the flock. What opportunity does the Covid crisis present? My role?
