Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 48:1-14. Verse 8, city of God, city of man. How shall I pray for God’s justice, mercy, authority, protection, and peace to rule in America's cities on this day?
Joel 2:1-32. Verse 28, what relief should I ask the Holy Spirit to provide for countless hearts and minds already threatened by disease and now also by civil disorder?
Acts 2:1-21. Verse 21, calling on God’s name today, what do I need to be saved from? What do I need to be saved for?
John 7:37-39. Coming thirstily to Jesus for living water, how will I be different today and from now on? How will it then flow out of me to others?
