Bible Tuesday 6/2: What to Do?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 80:1-19. Verses 4-7, bread of tears, cup of tears. What does God want me and other Christians to learn about loving him and loving each other, from the mounting sorrows of the year 2020?

I Samuel 1:1-28. Verses 10, 17, and 27, what has been my hardest experience with a prayer that seemed to go unanswered? What did I learn? Present application?

Acts 2:37-47. What would it look like, in practical terms, for my church this summer to mirror this chapter’s soul-harvest, a sudden influx of new Christ-followers? First step for us to take?

John 17:20-26. Related, Jesus prays we would make known the Father and the Son by exhibiting their oneness, their glory, and their love. Again with practicality, what’s next for me and my church?
