Bible Monday 6/15: Choose Ye

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 108:1-13. Verses 4 and 5, praying for our country in these troubled times, in what specific form would I ask to see God’s mercy upon us? What expression of his truth, defeating specific lies, would I pray for?

I Samuel 14:1-52. Verse 6, God’s unbounded power to save. For what concern have I been praying small prayers when God is ready to answer a big prayer, ready if I am?

Acts 5:22-32. What are the entrenched forces of today that feel threatened by the saving message of Jesus Christ? How do the current upheavals offer new opportunities for many to believe in him?

Mark 1:29-34. Who is someone I know that especially needs to touch the hand of Jesus the Great Physician today?
