Bible Tuesday 10/13: Faithful Abraham

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 107:1-43. Verses 9 and 18 KJV, what does God provide that satisfies my soul’s hunger? What false nourishments to my soul have I realized don’t truly satisfy?

Ezra 10:1-44. Painful dissolution of many marriages and families to reconnect Israel with God. If I could pray for just one radical U-turn by the church of Jesus Christ today, what would it be?

Galatians 3:1-14. Verse 8, what has God accomplished so far in fulfilling his promise that all nations will be blessed through Abraham? What remains for him to do? My church’s role? My role?

Luke 11:45-54. Verse 52, what is the key Jesus says the Jews took away? Do I now have that key, and if so, what does Jesus expect me to do with it?
