Bible Tuesday 11/9: Alive in Him

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 27:1-14. Verse 10, how does God, as my heavenly Father, excel my human father and mother? What is the practical import of that for today?

II Chronicles 18:1-34. King Ahab punishes a truth-telling prophet. In our country at present, what risk do churches and believers take for being ever faithful to God’s truth?

Colossians 4:12-18. Verse 18, related thought: remember my bonds. How shall I pray this day for the persecuted church?

Luke 20:27-40. Verse 37 KJV, children of the resurrection. As one such child, what can I expect from God today? What does he expect from me?
