Bible Sunday 11/21: Hard Things

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 60:1-12. Verse 3 KJV, what are some choices God has put before me today between doing the easy thing and doing the hard thing?

II Chronicles 30:1-27. Verse 10, what’s behind the ridicule that the worldly mind directs at God and God’s people? How vulnerable am I to this? What’s my spiritual defense?

Revelation 9:1-21. Apollyon, angel of the bottomless pit. Do I take hell as seriously as the Bible does, as seriously as Jesus does?

Luke 22:54-71. Verse 61, Peter breaks down. If I had to meet Jesus’ gaze today and make eye contact with him, could I do it with a clear conscience?
