Bible Tuesday 3/2: Soldiers of the Cross

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 149:1-9. Verses 6 and 7 KJV, what if the sword God wants me to use is his own word, and the sentence I’m to execute on unbelievers is working to evangelize them? First step today?

Proverbs 11:1-31. Verse 11, what are my church, my family, and I specifically doing to make our city a better place to live, a place where God is actively at work?

Romans 8:26-30. What isn’t going well for me at present, for which I should ask the Holy Spirit to intercede on my behalf with the Father and the Son?

Matthew 15:1-20. What inward cleansing of myself is Jesus asking me to get busy on today? How do I obtain his help in doing that?
