Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 51:1-19. Verses 2, 7, 10, in what way do I need to be washed and made clean by God today?
Proverbs 30:1-33. Verses 11-14, what has caused the generation of young people now in school to have a weaker relationship with God than their parents and grandparents? What is my church doing about it? My role?
Zechariah 1:1-21. Verses 14-17 KJV, how does the jealousy of God punish his enemies and vindicate his faithful ones? What is it doing in these present turbulent times? How can I ally with it?
Matthew 20:17-28. Verses 22 and 23, if this is the year I must drink more deeply from Jesus’ cup of sorrows, what might that look like? How shall I prepare? Who will help me?
