Bible Thursday 5/6: Calling

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 11:1-6. Verse 3 KJV, what are some foundations of the human community, established at God’s direction, that now seem to be crumbling? With what consequences? What am I doing about it?

Exodus 25:1-40. Verses 8 and 40, where can I find the pattern God wants me to shape myself by and live my life by? Does such a design or blueprint even exist?

I Corinthians 7:17-24. Related question, how would I specifically define the calling God has placed on my life? What are some distractions or detours from it that I must avoid??

John 7:40-53. Verse 50, Nicodemus tentatively stands up for Jesus. Whom do I know that is part of the way toward accepting Christ, where I might give a friendly assist?
