Bible Friday 4/9: Eden Restored

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 93:1-5. Verses 3 and 4, what is it in my life or in our world that feels like a raging, menacing flood right now? What would it actually look like to see God’s power and peace asserted over that?

Song of Solomon 6:1-13. Verse 2, if through Jesus, “my beloved,” I could be spiritually readmitted to Eden right now, how would others notice that in me from day to day?

I Peter 3:1-12. As controversies over gender intensify, is my church clear on what God expects of men and of women—and what men and women owe each other? Why does it matter?

Luke 24:36-49. If the whole Bible, Old and New Testaments alike, is essentially a handbook for knowing and following Jesus, how can I and my family and my church become more Bible-centered in 2021?
