Bible Sunday 4/11: Doubts Dispelled

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 100:1-5. Verse 3, the folly of assuming I am self-made. What are the consequences? What disposition must I have toward God to correct this?

Song of Solomon 8:1-14, verses 6 and 7. Love, the most beautiful and most abused of words. What has life taught me about love as a God-given reality and as a worldly counterfeit? Who needs to feel my love today?

I Peter 4:1-11. Verse 10, if ministry of some kind is expected of every follower of Jesus, no exceptions, what does my ministry consist of?

John 20:19-31. When have I been somewhat like Thomas, hesitant to fully accept what Jesus did and who he was? How did Jesus patiently and convincingly respond? Application to present needs?
