Bible Sunday 6/20: Ananias on Straight Street

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:89-128. Verse 94, reviewing yesterday, in what ways did I think and act from a “God, I’m all yours” standpoint, and in what ways did I fail to do so? Action point for today?

Leviticus 27:1-34. Laws of vows and tithes. Related to the previous question, what blind spots might I have in regard to money, income, assets, or property, as being all on loan from God, not my own at all?

Acts 9:10-25. Ananias baptizes Paul. What opportunity might I soon have to be someone’s bridge to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ?

Mark 4:13-20. Verse 13, a parable about parables. Is there deeper spiritual import to something I’m going through right now? What’s Jesus trying to show me, below the surface?
