Bible Tuesday 7/20: Eutychus's Dying Fall

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 51:1-17. Verses 2, 7, 10 KJV, what is there about myself that I’d ask God to wash clean today?

Numbers 30:1-16. What has changed in these times compared to earlier times, such we now attach little importance to vows and oaths unbreakable under penalty from God? Application to me?

Acts 20:1-16. Verses 9-12, as God had Paul’s meeting under his protection, why didn’t he just keep Eutychus from this dying fall in the first place? Application to me?

Mark 11:1-11. A donkey awaits Jesus’ summons on Palm Sunday. What is there of a mundane or trivial nature, presently concerning me, that I didn’t want to “bother” the Lord with? Yet isn’t he willing and able?
