Bible Monday 10/10: Faith Aflame

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 103:1-22. Verses 13 and 14, when have I experienced God’s fatherly pity? How is dust evident in my makeup, and how do I know God is patient with that part of me?

Job 41:1-34. The fearsome leviathan, monster of the deep. Verse 34 KJV, who are the children of pride in these times we live in? Am I sometimes one of them?

Ezra 7:1-28. Verse 10, how Ezra prepared himself to lead revival in Jerusalem. What preparations can I be making day by day for the next big thing God will be asking of me?

Luke 11:29-36. Verse 33, related, how shall I go about illuminating my surroundings in 2022 with the flame of my faith in Jesus Christ?
