Bible Thursday 11/24: With Grateful Hearts

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 68:1-35. Verse 11, how can I participate more fully today in the great company of those engaged in publishing God’s word?

Isaiah 29:1-24. Verse 16, what prevalent beliefs in these times are no less absurd than the clay talking back to the potter? What is my church doing about it? My role?

Deuteronomy 26:1-11. The basket of first fruits that grateful Israel is to bring God. What’s in the “basket” I offer him today?

Luke 17:11-19. When have I during the past year been like the nine lepers who forgot to thank Jesus? Has my ingratitude had consequences? Can I still somehow remedy the situation?
