Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 79:1-13. Verse 10, what behaviors by me, my family, and my church could prompt the unbeliever to say we give no evidence that our God is real? What behaviors by us could decisively give that evidence?
Isaiah 34:1-17. Verse 8, the day of the Lord’s vengeance. How can I and my loved ones be spared? What preparations should I be making today?
Revelation 11:11-19. King Jesus begins his reign, receiving adoration and rewarding his saints. Where will I be when that hour strikes?
Luke 22:1-13. The disloyalty of Judas, the loyalty of Peter and John. Haven’t I honestly, in lesser ways, sometimes been in both roles at various points in my Christian walk? Lessons learned?
