Bible Thursday 2/17: Make Haste

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 119:1-48. Verse 32, what would it look like today for me to not just walk in the way of the Lord, but to actually run in the way of the Lord?

Jeremiah 2:1-37. Verse 13, what are some of the broken cisterns that sinful man now relies on, leading to a killer drought, a burning spiritual thirst? What is my church doing about it?

Romans 7:1-12. Verses 4 and 5, what is Paul asking me to do here, in saying I must be married to the risen Christ? If I am to bring forth fruit unto God, not fruit unto death, what specific form will that take?

Matthew 13:1-9. Fruitfulness, continued. What spiritual seeds are now growing in me, toward an abundant crop for the glory of God? What nurtures the seeds? What endangers them? Action point?
