Bible Saturday 3/19: Be Still and Know

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 46:1-11. Verses 2-5, regarding Ukraine and other current troubles, what is the spiritual situation symbolized by this world’s raging sea and God’s irresistible river? Prayer point for today?

Jeremiah 32:1-44. Even while imprisoned, Jeremiah invests tangibly in Jerusalem’s eventual restoration. How can I at this time invest tangibly in the expectation of better times for the people of God?

I Timothy 4:1-11. Verses 7 and 8, the exercise that matters most. What’s my action plan to consistently focus as much or more on my spiritual-growth workout than on my health and fitness workout?

Matthew 21:18-22. What mountain of difficulty shall I pray God to remove from me today?
