Bible Sunday 3/13: Nothing Impossible

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 30:1-12. Verses 5 and 11, what have I been weeping and mourning about of late, that I can lay on God’s altar today and trust him for better things?

Jeremiah 26:1- 24. Judah’s leaders debate putting Jeremiah to death. What has discipleship cost me in my life so far? What are the storm signals now evident, warning that the cost may increase? Am I ready?

I Timothy 1:12-20. Paul owns himself the chief of sinners before he met Christ. From what misdeeds has Jesus rescued me? How can I thank him today?

Matthew 19:23-30. Verse 26, what impossibilities is Jesus inviting me to believe in today? What keeps this from being mere prosperity gospel, treating God as an ATM?
