Bible Tuesday 3/15: Get Ready

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 32:1-11. God invites us to roar at him in pain (verse 3) or shout to him in joy (verse 11). What am I moved to do in his presence right now?

Jeremiah 28:1-17. Hananiah prophesies falsely against Jeremiah, and God requires his death. In these times, how is the church disserved by clergy who sugar-coat hard truths? Will I be found unprepared?

I Timothy 2:8-15. What does the disobedience of Adam and Eve have to teach me about how to rightly love God and my neighbor today?

Matthew 20:17-19. By what markers, other than words, might the people I encounter today sense that I serve Jesus Christ crucified and risen?
