Bible Wednesday 8/3: Safe to Nest

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 84:1-12. Verse 3, by what attitudes and actions today can I participate in this idea of nesting at God’s altar? How will my day be different? How will others notice?

I Kings 3:1-28. Verse 3, Solomon lovingly obeyed God, but with exceptions. As a supposedly devoted Christian, what exceptions do I make? Action point?

Acts 18:24-9:20. God raises up Apollos. When have I seen someone grow from a babe in Christ into a mature and consequential disciple? What might be the next phase of growth Jesus offers me, if I’m willing?

Mark 11:20-26. Verse 23, what mountain have I been praying to see God remove? How can I stay firm in faith, no doubt or discouragement?
