Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 37:1-40. Verses 9, 11, 18, 22, 34 KJV, what is my inheritance as an adopted child of God? How am I to take care of it? What should I be using it for, this very day?
Job 25:1-6. Verse 6, in what way am I a mere worm? In what way am I something far better and nobler? How should both factors enter in my attitudes and actions today?
II Corinthians 7:2-8:7. Verses 9-11, when have I experienced the benefits of godly sorrow? Is there someone I know who could benefit from the same right now, through our fellowship in Christ?
Luke 8:40-56. Verses 43 and 44, is there something in my life right now that I need to bring to Jesus with more boldness and urgency than I have ever used with him before?
