Bible Thursday 10/6: Guarded by Angels

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 91:1-16. Verse 11, what do I need God’s angels to do for me today?

Job 37:1-24. God’s sovereign majesty over all his creation. How many evidences of this can I see from where I’m sitting right now? How is it specifically relevant to me and mine today?

Ezra 4:1-24. Enemies use lies to halt the rebuilding of Jerusalem. What kind of mental and spiritual attack must I guard against today, in order to carry out God’s purpose for me?

Luke 11:5-13. Verses 8-10, how can I be more importunate in my prayer today, more earnest in taking up God’s invitation to ask, seek, knock?
