Bible Sunday 1/29: Help Wanted

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 77:1-20. Verses 3, 6, 10, 11, when I vow to remember God and then fail to do so, what got in the way? What undid me? How can I do better today?

Genesis 29:1-35. Jacob and his wives, a love triangle. When have I gotten hurt, or hurt others, by playing favorites? Present application?

Malachi 2:1-9. Verse 7, God’s messengers. To whom is such an office entrusted in these times? How can I more beneficially learn from them? How can I better support them?

Matthew 9:27-38. Laborers needed in God’s harvest. What are some ways, other than full-time ministry, that I can respond to this call? Action point for today?
