Bible Friday 1/6: The Wisest Men

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 97:1-12. Verse 10 KJV, why do I find it easier to actively love God than to actively hate evil? What would it look like today for me to actively, implacably hate evil?

Genesis 6:1-22. What qualities of Noah shall I ask God to bring out in me today? What practical endeavor should I be about, that could symbolically be called building an ark for God’s faithful?

I Peter 3:18-22. How am I a different person today as a result of Jesus’ resurrection and my baptism?

Matthew 2:1-11. What qualities of the Magi, journeying to Bethlehem, shall I ask God to bring out in me today?
