Bible Sunday 10/22: Pray for Jerusalem

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 122:1-9. Verse 6, day by day right now, how shall I obey God’s command that we pray for the peace of Jerusalem? As millions do so around the world, what result can we expect?

I Chronicles 28:1-21. Verses 7-9, David cautions Solomon that his actions will have consequences forever. What has God given me to do today, that will matter for all time to come?

Philippians 1:12-18. Beset with cruel adversaries and false friends, Paul rejoices in how Jesus is using both to advance the gospel. What tough circumstances in my own life can I turn over to the Lord today?

Luke 17:20-37. Verse 26, what are some qualities of Noah that I need to seek from God, in order to be ready for Christ’s return?
