Bible Sunday 11/12: Jehoshaphat's Way of War

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 34:1-22. Verse 3 KJV, if I fail to magnify the Lord, what am I magnifying instead? What’s the consequence? Action point for today?

II Chronicles 20:1-37. Verses 15-18, to prepare for battle, King Jehoshaphat prostrates himself in worship. What battle am I now facing? What way of preparing shall I claim is better than his?

Malachi 3:1-10. Verses 2 and 3, what would happen to me if I dared to submit to God’s refining fire today?

Luke 21:29-38. Verse 33, what specific words of Jesus—never to pass away—shall I dwell with and rely upon today?
