Bible Saturday 12/16: Job Description

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 116:1-19. Verse 16, if I commit myself as God’s servant, what attitudes and actions does he require of me today? What will it cost me? What is my reward?

Daniel 8:1-21. Daniel is stirred by another dream with momentous foreknowledge. On what subject do I most need supernatural insight and guidance from God right now?

I Thessalonians 2:1-12. What persons have been exceptionally helpful in my spiritual growth and Christian walk? How can I pay that forward?

Matthew 7:7-12. Is there a knotty problem of human relationships at present, where Jesus wants me to step out in faith and apply the Golden Rule?
