Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 131:1-3. What does God want me to stop worrying about right now? What childlike (though not childish) attitude can I adopt, for his pleasure today?
Proverbs 2:1-22. Verses 2-6 KJV, God repeatedly urges me to understand. How is understanding better than knowledge or information? How am I to go about getting it?
Romans 8:1-11. Verse 4, what would it look like for me to walk not after the flesh but after the Spirit, all day today? How will people notice?
Matthew 14:13-21. What seemingly inadequate “loaves and fishes” shall I ask Jesus to multiply for me today? Why would he do such a big miracle for a little person like me?
