Bible Friday 3/17: Exemplary Obedience

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 39:1-13. Verse 7, given that my hope is secure in God, what else am I waiting for? How can I close out all such distractions today?

Proverbs 23:1-35. Verse 17, don’t envy sinners. Isn’t much of media, entertainment, advertising, and the cultural scene urging me to do just that? Action point for today?

Romans 16:17-27. Verse 19, what if I began to live in such a way that my obedience to Jesus became famous everywhere? First step?

Matthew 21:23-32. Verses 25-27, Jesus exposes the moral cowardice of the Jewish leaders. How do some Christian leaders face and fail the same test today? What is my church doing about it? My role?
