Bible Wednesday 3/15: House of Prayer

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 36:1-12. Verse 8, if I take up God’s invitation to drink from the river of his pleasures today, what exactly does that mean I am to do? What will I get in return? What am I then equipped to give?

Proverbs 21:1-31. Verse 1, how God rules the rulers. What political leader should I be praying for today?

Romans 15:22-33. Verse 27, Christians mutually blessing each other in spiritual and material ways. How does that give and take occur in my church? What’s my role?

Matthew 21:12-17. Verse 13, is my church first and foremost a house of prayer, or do other priorities take precedence?
