Bible Tuesday 4/11: Up and Out

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 102:1-28. Verses 16-18, what prayer of mine seems to have gone unanswered, or was answered in a way I find hard to accept? What ray of hope can I see in Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection?

Exodus 3:1-22. Verses 10-12, related, what task or mission has God laid on me, which seems far beyond my powers to undertake? What encouragement can I find in God’s dealings with Moses?

I Corinthians 5:1-13. Verses 6-8, be ye unleavened. What worldly or selfish influences do I need to purge out of myself, with God’s help, so as to live worthily of Christ’s sacrifice for me?

Luke 24:1-12. Verse 11, related, if I’m honest, what doubts, fears, and reservations are mixed in with my faith that the risen Jesus is fully trustworthy?
