Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 35:1-28. Verses 5 and 6, if God sends angels to do mighty things for me today, what would I have them do?
Zechariah 10:1-12. Verse 12, draw strength from the Lord and walk in his name. What would it look like for me to do that today? How would others notice?
Matthew 22:15-46. Verse 29, if a non-believer asked me why I faithfully work at knowing the Scriptures better and better, what would I tell him?
Matthew 25:1-13. Wearily awaiting the bridegroom. When has Jesus taught me a vital lesson as his promises seemed long delayed? Present application?
