Bible Monday 5/1: What the World Hates

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 147:1-20. Verse 4, if God knows every star in the sky by name, and has counted them all, how can I be unsure of trusting him today with the smallest and greatest details of my life?

Exodus 23:1-33. Verses 20-23, God assigns an Angel (capital A) to keep and guide Israel into the promised land. If such a being were at my service today, what would I desire it to do for me?

I Corinthians 7:1-9. Verse 5, what is Satan’s destructive aim with regard to human sexuality? What is our protection against that?

John 7:1-9. Verse 7, what choices should I be ready for Jesus to put before me today, determining whether the world is to like me or hate me?
