Bible Friday 5/12: All for God

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 31:1-24. Verse 15, my times in your hand. How can I go about staying close to God from moment to moment, all day today?

Exodus 34:1-35. Verses 12-17, God’s jealousy. What allurements from the godless world are pulling on me and my church to compromise with their beliefs or dabble in their ways?

I Corinthians 10:23-11:1. Verse 32, what opportunities can I find to be inoffensive, charitable, and hospitable today toward persons of all sorts—for God’s glory?

John 9:24-41. What has it cost me to follow Jesus? What have I gained in return? Might the cost soon go up? How much would be too much?
