Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 40:1-17. Verse 3, what new song am I able to sing for God, as I get to know him better and better?
Exodus 39:1-43. Verses 32 and 43, Moses inspects and accepts the completed tabernacle. Who or what holds me accountable for my kingdom job description? Is part of it less than “well done”?
I Corinthians 16:1-24. Related, verse 9, what door of opportunity for serving is open to me right now? What obstacles or opposition will I face? How shall I bring both matters to God in prayer today?
John 14:1-11. Verse 6, if a non-believer shadowed me closely all day today, what evidence would he notice that I am completely sold out for Jesus as the way, the truth, the life?
