Bible Saturday 6/17: Not Untouchable

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 115:1-18. Verse 12, God mindful of us. What are some small details and specifics of my situation that are receiving the Father’s close attention and supervision today?

Leviticus 27:1-34. From spending a month in this difficult book, reflecting on the holiness code God gave Israel, how am I better prepared to give the determined daily effort He requires of me?

Acts 8:4-13. Conversion of Simon the sorcerer. What form do sorcery and witchcraft take in today’s world? What defense and remedy does Jesus provide?

Mark 1:35-45. Jesus heals the leper at a touch. Who are the untouchables in my community? What are my church, my family, and I doing for them in Christ’s name?
