Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 119:129-176. Verse 131 KJV, panting after God. Do I, at least part of the time, desire God that intensely? What else do I tend to pant for, perhaps more avidly than for God?
Numbers 4:1-49. Verses 15, 19, 20, lest they die. Is there anything required of me in my obedient Christian service to God that is literally of life and death importance?
Acts 10:1-16. God moves mysteriously to bring together a Roman soldier and a Jesus follower. When have I encountered someone by divine appointment? Application for today?
Mark 2:23-28. Do I take the Sabbath as seriously as Jesus did? What’s to be done?
