Bible Wednesday 7/19: Take a Walkabout

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 48:1-14. Verses 12 and 13, if I could apply myself to becoming as familiar with the New Jerusalem as with my own neighborhood, how might that change me? How would it benefit me?

Numbers 32:1-42. Two tribes permitted to settle east of the Jordan, provided they remain war-ready. What is my church doing about the worsening fragmentation of the Body of Christ? My role?

Acts 18:18-28. Aquila and Priscilla, having been discipled by Paul, in turn disciple Apollos. How can I start doing more to widen the circle of active believers in Jesus Christ?

Mark 10:1-12. Does my church take divorce as seriously as Jesus took it? What’s at stake?
