Bible Thursday 10/5: Thou Fool?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 89:1-52. Verse 6, who or what do I sometimes unconsciously exalt above God, making it—more than Him—the object of my attention, reliance, obedience, value, and pleasure? Action point today?

I Chronicles 11:1-47. Honor roll of those who did mighty deeds for King David. By what acts of quiet devotion can I show myself mightily devoted to King Jesus?

Galatians 6:1-10. From the seeds of thought and action that I am sowing today, will there come in due time a harvest of the flesh or of the Spirit?

Luke 12:13-21. Related, is my definition of wealth, riches, treasure, patterned after the worldly mind or after the mind of Christ? Is my soul ready to give its final accounting this very night?
