Bible Thursday 1/18: The Great Physician

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 110:1-7. Who or what are the enemies of Jesus that God will make into his footstool? What will that process look like in our modern world? Any relevance to my daily life?

Deuteronomy 18:1-22. Of what value to me is this prophet “like Moses” whom God has promised? How can I know the true from the false prophets?

Hebrews 7:11-28. Verse 25, Jesus ever lives to make intercession for us. About what specific need shall I ask the Son to intercede with the Father for me today?

Matthew 9:18-26. Summoned to save a dying girl, Jesus pauses to heal a desperate woman. How can I teach myself to be more interruptible today and every day? Not to idolize my own plans and goals?
