Bible Saturday 2/3: Born for This

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 85;1-13. Verse 2, how long is the list of things God has forgiven me for? From whom have I been withholding forgiveness? Action point for today?

Deuteronomy 34:1-12. What qualities of Moses shall I ask God to imbue in me? What practical opportunity to express those qualities is before me here and now?

Jeremiah 1:1-19. Verses 4-10, related, for what specific service and witness to God was I formed in the womb? What is the next step he’s asking of me now, in spite of obstacles, to fulfill that life-purpose?

Matthew 12:31-37. Verse 35, what good treasure has God placed in my heart? How does evil stealthily seek to corrupt that? What good fruit is God expecting of me today?
