Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 107:1-43. Verses 5 and 9, what is my soul hungry for today? How does God’s goodness satisfy that hunger in me? How will others notice?
Ezra 10:1-44. God commands the Jewish leaders to choose between him and their foreign wives. What is the hardest choice God has ever required of me? What did I learn?
Galatians 1:1-24. Verses 3-9, how can I tell the true gospel of Christ from the false ones that are always circulating? What are the consequences of getting it wrong?
Luke 12:35-40. How can I possibly be ever watchful for Jesus to return, as he commands me here, and still live my daily life with all its duties, relationships, difficulties and joys?
