Bible Thursday 12/5: Airborne

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 89:1-52. Verse 46, what situation in my life is drawn-out and unresolved, causing me to ask, “How long, Lord?” Where can I find the spiritual endurance and patience to see it through?

Isaiah 40:1-31. Verses 28-31, related, what would a renewal of strength and an ascent on eagles’ wings specifically look like, taking place in my life today by God’s grace?

Revelation 13:11-18. How the evil beast marks its victims, contrasted with God’s seal in the forehead of the faithful (Rev. 7:3 and 9:4). What decision is required of me here in practical everyday terms?

Mark 1:1-8. In what way am I a different person today,, with different possibilities and responsibilities, because of my baptism?
