Bible Tuesday 3/5: Can Love Subdue Politics?

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 9:1-20. Verse 10, they that know Thy name. By what attitudes and actions today shall I attest that God’s name is not just another word to me, but a sacred title of holiness, love, and power?

Jeremiah 32:1-44. Verse 17, related, nothing too hard for Thee. Is there something I’ve been praying about recently, but undercutting my prayer with the whisper of doubt that it’s too hard, too minor, too far gone?

Romans 13:1-10. Political allegiance and love of neighbor. If we as Christians, not neglecting the former, majored in the latter during this election year, what far-reaching benefits might ensue for our country?

Matthew 20:29-34. Verse 32, today if Jesus asked me this momentous question, what would my answer be?
