Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?
Psalms 68:1-35. Verse 11, how can I do more to publish God’s mighty and gracious word?
Ezekiel 13:1-23. Verses 18-21, woe to those who hunt souls. With what specific lies does the enemy seek to enslave me, my family, my church, and my community? How can I obtain God’s protection?
I Corinthians 8:1-13. Verse 11, for whom Christ died. Is there some person, or group of people, that I tend to label or dismiss without remembering that Jesus shed his blood every bit as much for them as for me?
John 4:16-26. Verse 23, worship the Father in spirit and in truth. What is Jesus commanding me here to do and not to do? Where do I fall short of this standard?
