Bible Saturday 6/15: Beauty Sublime

Studying this morning's four readings from the St. James Daily Devotional Guide (click to subscribe), I examined myself with these questions. Where is your self-examination leading today?

Psalms 110:1-7. Verse 3, beauties of holiness. Where can I see them right now, today? What does God ask of me in return, by way of response or participation?

I Samuel 1:1-28. Whom do I know that is praying her or his heart out for an unmet need as Hannah did? How can I support that person with my own prayers today?

Acts 10:1-16. The centurion and Peter, each praying separately, are drawn together by divine appointment. When has God brought about a divine appointment for me? Present application?

Mark 3:7-12. Verse 10, he had healed many. What do I need most from Jesus today? Though not now possible to press in and touch him physically, what’s the spiritual equivalent for me, the posture of my heart?
